About Samplscenpickmosaic

How we study locations

We are a small, independent team of travel photographers and editors. Our guides teach you to read a place—its light, foreground, movement and context—rather than chase a list of famous spots.

01

We visit, return and revisit

Wherever possible, the locations in our guides are scouted in person at different times of day and in different seasons. A square that is flat at noon may glow at 7 am; a cliff path that is calm in June may be wild in October. We note where the light falls and when.

02

We plan with sun, tide and maps

Before writing, we check sunrise and sunset bearings, tide tables, opening hours and public transport. We describe directions and conditions rather than promising a perfect shot, because weather and access change.

03

We listen to local voices

Residents, guides and local photographers often know the quiet corner, the right season and the etiquette visitors miss. We credit their insight and reflect local requests, such as photography restrictions in residential areas.
